3 Modes of Fighting in Quantum Jiu Jitsu

There are 3 modes of fighting in Quantum Jiu Jitsu namely Out-Fighting, In-Fighting and Ground Fighting. If you want to be a good fighter, you have to be an expert in all three.

Out-Fighting is combat before you clinch. It consists of combinations, defense, movement, strikes and stance.

When you are on the offense, you have to throw a combination of punches and kicks so the opponent is not able to protect himself. You have to make each shot count by letting the power come from both your weight and momentum.

Naturally, whoever you are fighting is not just going to stand there and take your hits. He or she will also do their share to inflict pain so you have to know how to defend yourself by learning some blocks and evasions. The most common is being able to keep your hands up and absorb the blow.

Movement is part of defense and offense. By staying on the balls of your feet, you will be able to switch direction and change levels. The best way to practice that is to do this in front of a mirror with some music playing. If you notice, you dance to the rhythm and this is very similar when you are engaged in a conflict.

The foundation of Out-Fighting is the strike and this is best achieved with a combination of punches and strikes. This is most effective when you are able to knockout your opponent and you can learn this in the form of complex individual techniques.

Lastly, is the stance. Just like a boxer, you have to keep your heads up and your chin down. While it is hard to say which one is best, you should only use whichever is most comfortable with you.

The second mode of Quantum Jiu Jitsu is In-Fighting. The difference here is that this is combat after you clinch. This consists of the clinch, defense, shoots, strikes, throws and takedown.

The clinch is the foundation of In-Fighting because this will allow you to control your opponent. From there, you will be able to throw a series of punches or kicks and this can only be achieved with a relatively straight posture otherwise, you will technique will not be very effective.

You might think that strikes, shoots and throws here is the same in Out-fighting. That is partly true except for the fact that the techniques used are for close quarters combat. As for the takedown, a knockout is classic example. Just make sure you end it in a control position.

As for defense, you can do this with a grip and body position. It is important to get your hips out while fighting for control and not get pulled in a bent position since your torque power relies on an upright posture so keep your head up and chin down.

The last mode of Quantum Jiu Jitsu is Ground Fighting and this happens when you hit the floor. This consists of the same things as In-Fighting with the addition of transitions. This is achieved by learning how to change and adapt that will allow you to have dominant control over your opponent.

Anyone can learn Quantum Jiu-Jitsu. By learning these three modes of fighting, you will be able to win over your opponent.

Right click the desktop, select properties and open the display properties dialog box. Choose the tab for settings and adjust the slider to change your display resolution. Most 17-inch monitors will have a resolution of 800 x 600 but choose the best resolution for your eyes.

After adjusting the resolution, check the display to see if all flickering and other problems have vanished. If not, optimize the refresh rate. The refresh rate is the rate in which the video card redraws the screen. Lower refresh rates sometimes cause flickering.

See, as a therapist, I don’t actually make you do anything. I can’t make you do anything you don’t want to do. If I could then I’d be retired by now as the most famous therapist on the planet!

I just act as a guide; a facilitator if you like, helping to get you to your chosen destination.

1. The single best way to save money on gas is so simple you probably haven't even considered it.

It's this: SLOW DOWN

Slowing down and (gasp) driving the speed limit is the most effective way to get maximum fuel efficiency from your traveling tin can. It simply takes more energy to travel at a higher speed. Increased wind resistance and inefficient fuel consumption are two ways that speed eats into your gas tank. The additional wear and tear on your car also eats into your pocketbook. So if you don't want your car to be an obnoxious gas guzzler, just drive the speed limit. You might get flack from drivers that want to speed like they're on the autobahn, but you'll save on gas and avoid flack from police cruisers, speed traps and your mom.

2. Keep it Steady. While you're at it, you might also try to keep going at a constant speed as much as you can. Keeping it smooth, or even better - keeping it on cruise control will save you big bucks on flat terrain. The ole "hurry up and wait" accelerate/brake combo takes a lot of energy and will cost you in the long run. Look well ahead when you're driving and prepare to slow down in advance. The gradual reduction in speed paired with a gradual increase will use less fuel. Gunning it on green lights is not fuel efficient.

3. Get a tune up and keep your tires inflated. Spark plugs that don't spark, filters that don't filter, and sensors with no sense all lower your gas mileage. Have your car tuned up regularly and check your tires while you're at it. Poorly inflated tires need more push from the engine to get where they're going. A little air goes a long way.

4. Choose the path of least resistance. Depending on where you live, you may not be able to avoid bumpy winding roads but if you can, you should. You can loose up to 30% of your gas mileage on a gravel road and even more if it's one of those beautifully scenic winding ones that require lots of turns and gas pedal/brake pedal maneuvers. Save these for vacations and take the highway.

Of course, if you're a really serious driver these days, you're probably thinking about switching to a hybrid - the next logical step for people who simply can't part with their cars. While you're shopping around for the right one, however, you might want to do it slowly.

Why do many people look to movie stars for answers to some of life's most challenging questions?

While we have great respect for the art of acting, as explicated from Stanislavsky to Strasberg, the latter of whom we knew well and were fond of, we have never understood how the usual snippets who decide to become actors ascend in the minds of the public from being initially generally regarded as likely ne’er-do-wells to being considered the most readily available font of insightful advice on just about every topic that troubles the frontal lobe of contemporary humanity.

Are we so doubtful of our own confidence to make up our minds that the resplendent light in which a current movie star is illuminated by his own publicity agents blinds us to the very probable vapidity of his or her own mind? After all, there is a certain disjunction between what movie stars do to win our attentions and what we expect of them once they succeed.

They bring themselves to our attention by committing to memory, or by reading off one kind of prompter or another, words devised by others. We won’t go so far as to say they achieve renown by presenting the thoughts of others, since realistic drama, in most of its contemporary manifestations, is apparently unable to present characters who might actually have an occasional considerable thought.

But, once they ascend to the starry vault that hovers over us, do we expect of them anything consonant with the ability to recite the usual inanities? No, suddenly we want these storied performers to transform themselves into the wise harbingers of original insight and exemplary advice. We even search the most mundane aspects of their personal lives for a hint or two as to how we might enhance the happiness of our own comparatively desultory lives. Or, just as often, we suppose, in the hope of finding that, despite their great reservoir of astonishing expertise, their own lives are inexplicably entangled in antics so confoundedly absurd that their shortcomings make us feel far superior in the relatively rickety guidance of our own lives.

Since we can only be sure that the lights of stage and screen will continue to be presented to us with all the wiles that can be managed through the deft employment of colorful media, as the engaging exemplars of how we should only hope to live, it appears that the only way to alter the mutual mockery is to become more realistic about what we really ought to expect from our dazzling stars-brights.

Myths to the contrary childhood is a nightmare

When we watch toddlers dance we feel their joy. When they trip, they don't fall far and their butts are padded. Their excitement at two-legged mobility is infectious.

When we see kids of all ages running, jumping, giggling and then falling asleep at ease, we assume children are carefree and happy.

But, consider your own memories, the ones that come unbidden in your dreams, and the ones that define you and make your daily choices. Wasn't there a nightmare or two in your childhood?

I remember many. That's why I want you to see that close attachment with caring adults is a basic necessity for survival for all of us, not just our own children.

New York Times Columnist David Brooks, alluding to Warren Buffet's $37 billion gift to charity, writes that he would invest in promoting a hormone that helps mammals bond. "Everything we're learning about the brain confirms the centrality of attachments to human development and the wisdom of Adam Smith's observation that the 'chief part of human happiness arises from the consciousness of being beloved.' "

Why is it, then, that federal, state and local governments continue to spend money on education through continual assessment of math and reading scores? To make schools accountable? The results show an increased dropout rate. To avoid loss of income, some schools don't test those who will score low.

Brooks writes, "The dropout rates are astronomical because humans are not machines into which you can input data. They require emotion to process information. You take kids who didn't benefit from stable, nurturing parental care and you stick them in a school that functions like a factory for information transmission, and the results are going to be horrible."

Information processing of children is left-brained thinking at its worse. It reminds me of he time the California Fish and Game drew a line on the map of the ocean and declared everything south of it a no-otter zone. The otters did not read the map nor obey the proclamation.

When school is emotionally engaging students succeed. When school consists of testing, only those skilled in math and reading, and backed by loving parents, succeed. The rest join a gang, or its equivalent, the army.

In the early 1980's I taught English in an affluent high school. We built an alternative program for potential dropouts. One student, Richard, was assigned to me. At 15 he was six feet tall and angry. The day I met him he tore a chain link fence apart with his bare hands. His parents belonged to Mensa, that organization for people with exceptionally high IQ's, but his father abused him physically. Therefore I had the task of removing him from his home and placing him in another, kinder one.

As Richard moved his clothes into my car, his older, even bigger, brother came out into the street threatening him, ready to whip him again.

I screamed at Richard to get in my car and jumped in front of the brother. He breathed fired at me for a minute that felt like an hour and then backed away. I drove off with Richard, shaking so badly it's a wonder I didn't crash.

Richard graduated from high school. I doubt that he would today.

We have to change how we think now or perpetuate a generation of enemies. If you can recognize that your childhood was not complete bliss, you who have the leisure and wherewithal to read this far, imagine the childhood of those gang members—those kids you knew who didn't graduate, the ones you heard about at your last reunion.

The best we can do now is recognize that childhood is a nightmare that most of us survive. How we survived it colors how we survive now. And we can change anything if we first change our thoughts. The only test of our thoughts is our lives.
